It's going to be close to 90 degrees today, and you know what that means - parade season. It's time to get on board for Palisade's upcoming Peach Festival Parade.

Is this a big deal? You better believe it. Even the Denver Post is excited about the upcoming Palisade festival, calling it "One of the most popular yearly events on the Western Slope."

  • ice cream social
  • grower booths
  • peach eating contest
  • Peach BB Throwdown
  • 5K Just Peach Race

  • live music

The Peach Parade

Perhaps the most anticipated event would be the Peach Parade. The parade will commence at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021.

Participants will need to be lined up by 8:30 that morning. Speaking from experience, I can honestly say the Palisade parades have historically been the best organized and well-executed parades in the valley.

For Floats With Children On Board

If your float includes children, you'll be required to have an adult walking along each corner. As with most parades, the throwing of candy from floats will not be allowed. If you wish to hand out candy, it will need to be done by walkers.

Give Serious Thought to Participating

Keep in mind, the 2020 festival and parade were canceled due to the obvious reason. It's awesome to have this event back.

Participating in parades can be a ton of fun. This will be an amazing opportunity to showcase your group or organization.

Registration forms for the Palisade Peach Festival Parade must be received by August 12, 2021.
