Powderhorn Ramping Up For Opening Day
Powderhorn Mountain Resort crews are working hard prepping for opening day.
Their staff is working both inside and out to make sure everything's perfect for opening day. "Our food and beverage staff is getting things ready to go in the lodge. We have sawyer crews and brush crews up on the trails," reports Ryan Robinson, Spokesperson for Powderhorn Mountain Resort.
Crews are cutting and removing dead trees making sure each run is as safe as possible. "The more you clean it up, the sooner you'll be able to ski, and the longer you can be in here skiing with less snow," says Alaina Brennan, Powderhorn Crew Member.
The recent cooler weather and early snowfall have the resort ahead of last year. There's already about 17 inches on the ground, which is good for late October. Powderhorn will open for the season on Thursday, December 13th at 9 AM! Get your 2018-19 season pass by clicking HERE!
