National yogurt company now making Palisade peach flavor

It's almost peach season in the Grand Valley. The Palisade Peach Festival will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of their famous festival August 16th-19th. I spotted a few peaches this week at the Grand Junction Farmer's Market. Now, these world-famous peaches are featured in Noosa Yogurt, a nationally recognized company.

It's crazy to think the Palisade peach phenomena started with just a single tree. Now there are more than 100 producing the famous fruit. "I just remember tasting my first Palisade peach and it is one of those just 'stops in your tracks moments'. They are just so juicy and so flavorful, different from any peach that I have ever tasted in my life… obviously paired with our beautiful creamy yogurt it is just the best summer treat,” says Koel Thomae, one of the founders of Noosa Yogurt. I agree. Last summer when I tried my first Palisade peach it blew me away.

Check your local stare and see if they carry it. Most do, Grand Junction City Market, Safeway, and Wal-Mart stores are listed as retailers on the Noosa website.
