A Grand Junction resident has gone from moped rider to pedestrian after a thief stole his ride.

Crime Stoppers of Mesa County says the thief made off with the moped sometime between 6:30 p.m. on August 27 and 10 p.m. August 28.

The moped stolen is a 2014 Tao Tao CY50 that is silver and light blue in color. The moped was missing the left mirror and had a large sticker with the letters VIP on the back. The moped's value is estimated to be over $700.
