One person has sadly passed away in a car crash on the Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction. The Colorado National Monument released that a 30-year-old man was found dead, according to KKCO.

The Colorado National Monument believes that the 30-year-old man passed away on the night of January 10th in a car crash. The car crash was found by someone on foot, who found the wreckage on the east hill of the monument, according to KKCO.

Sadly, the 30-year-old man was found dead in the crash. The Colorado National Monument has established that the 30-year-old was the only person in the vehicle. According to KKCO, the vehicle is being removed from the crash location today, January 12, 2020.

Excessive speed is thought to be a factor in the car crash on the Colorado National Monument. Evidence also shows that no other vehicles were involved in the car crash.

According to KKCO, the Mesa County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the deceased person once the next of kin is notified and will determine the cause and manner of death.

It's always sad when tragic events like this happen at the Colorado National Monument. Our hearts go out to the deceased person's family and friends.
