One month ago today, the city of Olathe cancelled the Sweet Corn fest. But a month later, it was announced that the event was back on!

The city of Olathe has had a few hardships with the Sweet Corn Festival over the years and last month at a council meeting the city trustee board decided to cancel this years event. But when word got out about the cancelling of one of Western Colorado's longest running festivals, everyone came out of the corn fields to voice their concern!

Thankfully a group of citizens from surrounding towns and the Montrose Community Foundation (being the fiscal) has formed a team of corn lovers to pull everything together!

The 22nd Annual Olathe Sweet Corn Festival is back on for August 3rd in Olathe Colorado!   The theme for this year’s Sweet Corn Festival is ‘Back to our Roots’.  This year the event will feature home grown talent from all over the western slope!  The Olathe Sweet Corn Festival will be celebrating 22 years and all of the traditional family activities will be back! Including the corn eating contest!

New this year at the corn fest will be a corny joke contest, corn relay race, corn hole, and more!

Sweet Corn tickets will be sold at the event.

Join all of your friends this year at the Olathe Sweet Corn Festival on Aug 3rd from 9am to 7:00pm at the Olathe Sweet Corn Community Park.
