St. Mary's Medical Center recently posted how proud they are to have delivered the most babies in Western Colorado in 2020. The Grand Junction hospital delivered a total of 1,337 babies in 2020.

St. Mary's in Grand Junction delivered 1,337 babies, 693 were baby boys while 644 were baby girls. This means that the Grand Junction hospital delivered an average of 111.4 babies per month and 3.6 babies per day.

The Grand Junction hospital delivered 27 sets of twins in 2020 and the average weight of all of the 2020 babies born at St. Mary's is 6.97 lbs. (The average weight for newborns is about 7.5 lbs.) St Mary's Medical Center also had 286 NICU graduates in 2020.

Congratulations to all of the parents and families out there who welcomed a baby into their family in 2020. Just think, these babies that were born in 2020 will graduate high school in 2038. Babies born in 2020 won't be able to purchase alcohol or marijuana until 2041 and won't turn 50 until 2070.
