I’m Tired of My Brown Lawn in Grand Junction and Ready to Install Rocks
I cannot be the only homeowner that is over spending hours at the hardware store spending hundreds of dollars getting all the equipment and materials needs to attempt to keep my lawn green. Because I can spend hours working on it and just weeks later it looks a tiny bit better but not much. And recently my wife and I have been going on nightly walks and looking at other homes and I have started to become jealous of the homes with rocks in the front area instead of having some half-brown and half-green grass.
There are some people that have a green thumb and can keep their plants and grass looking beautiful, and while Savannah does a great job taking care of our house plants, it’s my job to take care of the lawn and I will be the first to admit that I drop the ball on this chore. I will always make sure to mow so my lawn doesn’t become the one on the block that everyone talks about but I can never manage to keep my lawn green for an extended period of time.
I’m Hoping Rocks Replacing Grass in the Front of My House Isn't Too Expensive
There is no doubt about it, I am frugal with money, and I don’t love spending it. But I am thinking that this one-time purchase of the rocks would be a much better investment instead of all the time and hassle I put into the weed and feed each year when I kill the grass anyway. I think it’s time to reach out to a local professional on how to even get started on a project like this.
Before I start replacing Grass With Rocks I Need to do a Few Things
First I need to make sure it’s not in violation of my HOA rules, as annoying as that is. But I’m almost certain it is not against any rules. I also need to come to understand that this is going to be more expensive than I want to spend, but everything always is especially as a homeowner. I will be sure to let you know if we move forward with this project or if the price tag gives me sticker shock and I end up with a brown lawn again for another year.
