A day spent with 40 volunteers resulted in new mountain bike trails at the Lunch Loop, including an adaptive trail, which is for wheelchair users.

The Mesa Land Trust created these trails in honor of National Public Lands Day. This was no spur of the moment trail making, though. They purchased the land back in 2014, with these trails in mind. After six hours of volunteer work with 40 helpers, the trails were completed.

The Adaptive Cycling trail is the first one in the Grand Valley. This trail allows wheelchair users to enjoy the lunch loop. This trail can also be good for more timid mountain bikers and cyclists who want a scenery change from the pavement.
