A Grand Junction April Fools Prank: Nate’s Doppelganger
For April Fools Day this year, my fiance Heather dressed up like me, and together, we pulled a prank in the office.
Becoming Nate's Doppelganger
As you can see, my fiance Heather is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and looks NOTHING like me, so becoming my doppelganger took some work.
In order to look like me, Heather had to pull up her hair, draw a fake beard on, and put on my clothes. Luckily, she fits in my jeans no problem.
After an intense makeover, Heather became my doppelganger:
After her drastic makeover, Heather and I went to my office to pull our prank on my coworkers.
First, we walked around the building, her a few steps in front of me, greeting my coworkers in her best Nate voice. She even walked like me which she described as basically hobbling around like you're in pain. It's not NOT true.
Then we headed to the studio where she made herself at home in my seat.
She attempted to impersonate me by saying things like, "I'm Nate Wilde, I'm on the radio."
She decided that she was done filling in for me and that it was my turn to do my job.
Next, we headed outside to give my mom the opportunity to meet her new "son."
Upon meeting her son's look-alike, my mom could only say, "What did you do?!" to Heather, an appropriate response.
All in all, it was a pretty hilarious April Fools Day at the old Townsquare Media Grand Junction building.
