Golfers are alway looking for a reason to head to the course and swing their clubs. Now, you can honestly say you are playing for a good cause.

The Partners Golf Classic, now in its 19th year, is a benefit for the youth involved in the Delta, Montrose, and Ouray Partners program.

The tournament is July 16 and is being held this year at the Cedaredge Golf Club beginning at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.

The tournament is a four-person scramble and is $65 per person or gather your golfing buddies together, form a team, and pay $265.

The tournament offers golfers lunch, door prizes and the opportunity show how good of a golfer you are by getting a hole-in-one and winning $25,000.

Proceeds from the event benefit Partners Mentoring which pairs adult mentors with children needing a positive adult role model. The program also offers Art Partners, Youth Substance Abuse Prevention, and a Teen Advisory Board.
