You may have received this text. If you are like me, you have probably wondered if it is legitimate, or if it's just another piece of spam making the rounds. After all, it has been a whole hour and twenty minutes since I received the latest text with promises of gloom and doom if I don't renew my auto warranty immediately. I find these interesting since I don't recall having a warranty on my automobile.

The text reads:

Hello Mesa County residents, we are surveying voters regarding important issues and would like to ask you a few questions on a confidential basis. This survey will only take 8 minutes to complete, and your answers will remain strictly confidential. Let's get started.

 

Is This Grand Junction Colorado Survey Legitimate?

If you click through, you'll notice this questionnaire is conducted by surveymonkey.com. According to gighustlers.com, "SurveyMonkey is a survey maker that provides the tools, templates, and pre-made topics to help you easily design and distribute customizable surveys to your customers and audience." They add, "Founded in 1999 by Ryan and Chris Finley, they are a cloud-based software company that allows you to create your own surveys."
