In 2004 Peyton Manning threw 49 touchdown passes setting a new record in the National Football League. He broke Dan Marino’s record of 48 that was set in 1984. In 2007 Tom Brady threw 50 to break Manning’s record.

Peyton could get that record back this year. In the first three games Manning has thrown 12 touchdown passes. That is an average of four a game.

There are 13 games left in the season and for Manning to get to 51 TD passes this year. He would need to average three TD passes per game the rest of the way. That is doable for Manning.

Sure anything could happen but when look at how this Broncos team has started the season I expect them to keep it up. History in the league says that good teams stay good all season.

Yes Manning could have some tough games but he could throw six againstJacksonvilleand another six againstWashington.

I don’t think Eric Dickerson’s rushing record will fall this year but Peyton Manning could take back the passing touchdown record from Tom Brady this season.
