Boulder Man Bites His Dog on Ear in Public
Not the way you usually see that headline, is it?
A man in Boulder took his pit bull mix to Whole Foods and, apparently due to a disagreement with the dog he bit it on the ear the proceeded to drag the dog through the store by his collar.
As he was doing so, the collar came off but no one else was threatened or bitten, by either dog or man.
The man, 49-year-old Chad Rick Naranjo pulled a knife as police arrived, but dropped it when the officer introduced his taser. Naranjo was also cited on concealed weapons charges, a misdemeanor.
The dog has been taken to a local animal shelter, according to the Humane Society of Boulder. Abusing an animal by mistreating them or beating them is considered animal abuse and those charges carry a $500 fine.
