Man Arrested in Grand Junction for a Unique Approach to Hitchiking
The average hitchhiker stands alongside the road with their their thumb out or a sign indicating where they need to go. A hitchhiker in Grand Junction took a completely different approach to getting a ride.
On Thursday, August 9th, a man decided a car transport truck offered the ideal way to get a ride without the hassle of standing out in the hot sun hoping someone would stop and pick him up.
So, he chose one of the cars on the transport, hopped in and expected, unbeknownst to the truck driver, to just ride in the car being hauled to wherever it was going.
His adventure didn't last long as police were tipped off to what this man was doing, stopped the truck and arrested the guy. He got a ride, it just wasn't the one he expected.
