Both MCSO and GJPD look to fill about 20 positions.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office and Grand Junction Police Department are looking for qualified candidates to fill several open positions. GJPD needs about 10 to 15 additional officers as well as dispatchers. MCSO needs to fill about 10 openings. 7 or so are to help in the jail and the other 3 are patrol positions.

Let's face it, law enforcement is a challenging job and it's a struggle for these departments to find the right people. "Finding qualified applicants who want to work in law enforcement and serve their communities in that capacity has been challenging," says Heidi Davidson, GJPD information coordinator.

If you think you've got what it takes, either agency would love to hear from you. If you're a citizen with integrity and a passion to serve, here's your chance. To find out more about the MCSO openings, click HERE. For info on the GJPD open positions, click HERE.
