In between my search for a place to live, and seeing a few local sites, I managed to make it to a few watering holes over the weekend.

Friday evening I hosted the 95 Rock Work Release Program at Cruisers. There I was introduced to the world famous Shifty and quite possibly the largest shot I've ever had. Very refreshing on a hot afternoon.

Saturday I made it out to Fruita and Suds Brothers Brewery. I had the S.O.B. I figured it fitting for this new guy to town. Very nice beer by the way and quickly make it two.

Later that day I made my way across the valley to Palisade and Peach Street Distillers. There I enjoyed perhaps the best Moscow Mule I've ever had.

So I've hit three, out of possibly hundreds, of great watering holes in the Grand Valley. Where should I head to next? Locals know best. Help this new guy find his way, and keep cool, during his first western slope summer.
