Halloween Events In Grand Junction
For those who like to celebrate, there are plenty of Halloween events in Grand Junction.
Of course, there are haunted houses and corn mazes and pumpkin patches to enjoy, but here are some cool special events that take places over the last few days of October. Some are for kids, while others are for adults, and some are for all ages.

PUMPKINS AT DARK
October 20Canyon View Park
Activities included hayrides, Halloween-themed games, flashlight pumpkin hunt, face painting, a movie under the stars, and more. Bring a flashlight. Admission is free, and it goes from 6 pm - 9 pm.

ZOMBIE PROM
October 21Mesa Theater
Dance to North to North, Bicycle Annie, and Jack+Jill from 8 pm to midnight. Admission is $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

THE GOBLIN
October 21Redlands Mesa Golf Course
This is not a golf event, although it is being at a golf course.It's a Halloween-themed Challenge Course Racing event.Two-person teams compete on a 3.5-mile course, with various tasks to be performed at each tee during the night.

HALLOWEEN FUN FEST
October 21Western Colorado Community College
Admission is $5 for this family and kid-friendly event from 2 pm - 4 pm. It's hosted by the High School Marketing Program and all proceeds go to travel costs for student organizations.

THE SHINING
October 24Avalon Theatre
This is a dinner, shopping, and a movie event featuring the Jack Nicholson classic. Admission is $7 and the movie starts at 7:30. However, with your same-day receipt of dining or shopping in downtown Grand Junction, you get one paid admission for every $5 spent.

TRICK, TRACK, & TREAT
October 25Kids of all ages should come dressed in costume, ready to run, walk, or dash and have a good time. Admission is $5 and it starts at 5:30 pm.

TRICK OR TREAT STREET & HARVEST FEST
October 27Palisade
Trick or treat at businesses downtown and touch a truck. Then head to Riverbend Park for Harvest Fest. It all starts at 3:00 pm.

DOWNTOWN SPOOKTACULAR
October 28Downtown Grand Junction
Main Street will be closed 3 pm - 5 pm as the kiddos trick or treat and enjoy a costume parade, and fun activities.

TRUCK -N-TREAT
October 28Fruita
A free event for kids at Civic Center Park from 10am-noon. Kids can trick or treat and explore trucks and interesting vehicles.

KIDS SPOOKTACULAR
October 28Mesa Mall
This is a free event from 11 am - 12:30 pm near the child's soft play area. Crafts, snacks, games, and entertainment. Costumes are encouraged.

TRUNK OR TREAT
October 28Downtown Vineyard 4th and Grand
This is a community event from 4 pm - 7 pm. There will be cars with trunk loads of candy.

CEMETERY TOUR
October 29Museum of the West
A guided tour through Whitewater Cemetery and Orchard Mesa Cemetery. Admission is $45 for non-members and $35 for museum members. There is limited availability. Call 970.242.0971, ext. 2212 for more information.

CANINE SPOOKTACULAR
October 28Center for Independence
A costume contest for dogs with various prizes, a live auction, and food for sale. Admission is $10 per dogs, $4 per person, kids under 12 and adults in costume are free. 740 Gunnison Avenue.

ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW
October 31Avalon Theatre
The cult-classic is back on the big screen at 8:00 pm with a pre-party at 6:30. Admission is $15 and includes the pre-party, light appetizers, a drink ticket, and prop bag. Tickets available at Monumental Events.

MONSTER MASH
October 31Dinosaur Journey - Fruita
Free admission to the dinosaur museum with trick or treating on the way out including candy, warm apple cider, and fruit punch. Hosted by KOOL 107.9's Ed Chandler and Zane Mathews, and our special dinosaur mascots. Be ready to take pictures.

PUNKIN CHUNKIN FESTIVAL
October 28The 15th annual Punkin Chunkin Festival takes place in Olathe 10am-10pm at Devreis Produce just south of Olathe. The day includes tractor pulls, corn maze, bounce house, petting zoo, human foos ball and more, plus a haunted night maze

CarnivALE HOUESE FREAK SHOW HALLOWEEN PARTY
October 28Fire eaters, palm readers, stilt walkers, contortionists, plus photo op, live DJ, games, costume contest and more - this on-the-fringe freak show will be one oddly good time.
