Grand Junction’s Favorite Mesa Theater Shows
I put up a Facebook question asking what your favorite shows you've seen at The Mesa Theater were, here are the results:
1. Hellyeah
The supergroup made up of members of Mudvayne, Pantera, and Nothingface, Hellyeah, played The Mesa June 5th, 2017 and took the top spot of favorite shows at the theater.
2. Social Distortion
I couldn't find the exact date for this one, but a lot of our Facebook fans remember the veteran punks rocking The Mesa Theater fondly.
3. Reel Big Fish
This fun ska group played The Mesa Theater on January 14th, 2014, and even though it was nearly six years ago, it must have been a memorable show.
4. Reverend Horton Heat
Rockabilly legends Reverend Horton Heat must love Colorado, as they've not only played The Mesa Theater, but I've seen them twice in Vail as well. The last time they played The Mesa was April 18th, 2019.
5. Sevendust
This one happened a while ago, but it was such a good show that several people listed it as their favorite. Sevendust rocked The Mesa back on November 19th, 2013.
6. Pennywise
Punk rock legends Pennywise rocked The Mesa Theater very recently, on September 30th, 2019, and after all these years they've still got it.
7. All That Remains
I couldn't find the exact date that Phil LaBonte and his band All That Remains played The Mesa Theater, but once again, it was such a memorable show that several people said that it was their favorite.
8. Nothing More
While Nothing More has arguably fewer hits than many of the bands on this list, they certainly made an impression on concert-goers back when they played The Mesa Theater on October 29th, 2017.
9. Avatar
Avatar brought their unique brand of "circus metal" to The Mesa Theater on June 9th, 2019, and many people were so impressed that they'd like to see them come back.
10. Static-X
Finally, another fan favorite Mesa Theater show was when Static-X came to town on June 20th, 2014. Unfortunately, we'll never get to see the band with their late singer, Wayne Static, again, but they are touring with a new singer.
