The Community Food Bank in Grand Junction is ready to start functioning at its new location and will celebrate by having a grand opening.

The grand opening is set for Wednesday, April 27th at the new location at 562 West Crete Circle in Grand Junction.

The special event will take place from 3:30PM-6:30PM with the ribbon cutting at 4:00PM. Grand Junction Mayor Phyllis Norris will be the featured speaker.

The Community Food Bank is a community-based, volunteer supported, charitable agency with a mission to provide an emergency supply of nutritious food to Mesa County individuals and families in crisis. Over 40 volunteers work to facilitate the distribution of food to those in need.

Food donations are accepted from area churches, individuals, businesses, organizations and food drives. Monetary donations are also accepted.
