Grand Junction Colorado Needs to Relax

According to bayart.org, "finding the time to rewind and de-stress after a long day at work is essential if you want to be your healthy self." They add prolonging your stress and overthinking about work doubles the risk of catching a cold after just one month. Add to that weight gain and the higher risk of stroke, and you have very legitimate concerns when it comes to stress and fatigue.

Ways to Relax After Work

InHerSight published 12 scientifically proven ways to unwind after work. They include:

  • Go for a run or walk
  • Journal
  • Read a good book
  • Lay under a weighted blanket (benefits of a weighted blanket include reduced anxiety, better sleep, and pressure relief)
  • Cook yourself dinner
  • Listen to your favorite playlist
  • Turn off your phone
  • Craft and create
  • Clean the house
  • Drink a glass of red
  • Watch oddly satisfying videos
  • Give yourself a massage

In my personal experience, performing a handful of these in concert makes for a perfect way to relax. Imagine a peaceful evening enjoying a good book, a glass of wine, and no cell phone.

Take a look at the gallery below. I believe you'll be surprised by how practical the responses are. No one mentioned something as unlikely as "fly to Hawaii" or "perform century-sets of deadlifts at 500 pounds per rep." Every response below involves things any of us could do, regardless of our budgets.
