Grand Junction Business Owner Sentanced in Drug Cartel gun Scheme
The owner of R&R Discount Audio on North Avenue in Grand Junction is going to prison. Miguel Reyes-Robles was busted in a scheme to sell guns to Mexico's drug cartels. Except the person he was discussing all of this with was an undercover agent.
Miguel was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison in connection with his gun scheme that involved selling automatic weapons to an undercover agent. The agent claimed to Miguel that he would take the weapons to the drug cartels in Mexico.
Miguel made a plea deal with federal prosecutors and Tuesday February 26, 2013 a federal judge threw down his sentence in Denver.
Until Miguel finds out what prison he will spend the next two and a half years in he is still out and about in society. That means Miguel still has time to rent the movie Let's Go to Prison and study up on prison life.
