Hiking has been one of my favorite ways to social distance, but I was definitely bummed when a lot of the trails were closed. One of those trails being one of Coloradan's favorite, Hanging Lake Trail.

Currently, Hanging Lake Trail is closed, but Visit Glennwood Springs announced the trail will reopen June 1.

Biking to Hanging Lakes is also available again starting June 1.

The trail is a 1.2 mile (1.9 km) backcountry trail is located in the heart of Glenwood Canyon on the White River National Forest.

You do have to book a time to hike the trail which costs $12 a person. There are 440 spots available daily.

Warning: They do fill up quickly so if you want to hike this trail better to book sooner versus later.

You'll need hiking boots, mini-crampons, and hiking poles. Pets are not allowed on the trail.
