Skiing enthusiasts can make sure they are ready for the upcoming season by attending the CMU Ski and Snowboard Swap November 6 and 7.

Several ski and snowboard companies will be on hand to sell and demonstrate their products, while attendees will also have the opportunity to sell their used equipment if it is in good condition.

The Ski and Snowboard Swap Expo at the Maverick Pavillion is  a fundraiser for the Powderhorn National Ski Patrol. The funds help pay for the training of patrollers and for the medical equipment they use.

For those that are anxious to be completely ready to hit the slopes, Powderhorn representatives will be at the swap meet selling passes for the upcoming season.

Another event skiers will be interested in is the showing of Warren Miller's newest film "Chasing Shadows," which will be shown at the University Ballroom on November 14.

Admission to the ski swap is $10 on November 6, and $3 on the 7th. Tickets for the film are $10, with proceeds benefiting the Colorado Mesa Alpine Ski Team.
