SpaceX Rocket Booster Crashes On to Floating Barge [Video]
Explosions are cool. That is particularly true when they’re scientific explosions that don’t injure anyone.
SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket to deliver 2.5 tons of supplies to the International Space Station.
Shortly after lift-off, the attempt to land the first booster on a barge in the Atlantic Ocean took an expensive turn, according to SpaceX.
The rocket boosters are newly-developed, reusable engines that have the ability to land on a pinpoint like a fire-breathing butterfly. That is when they work.
As modern-day Bruce Wayne, SpaceX chief Elon Musk, put it: “Exciting day!”
