One doesn't have a lengthy hockey career just by mistake. It takes skill and, sometimes, a little cheating.

Goalie David Leggio, of the American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, used his experience to his advantage in a game Sunday night when faced with a two-on-none breakaway.

After a turnover at center ice, Leggio had just a second or so to come up with a plan.

Instead of facing the break in the traditional manner, he dislodged his own net and caused a stoppage in play. Leggio was penalized and the Springfield Falcons were awarded a penalty shot, which Leggio stopped.

Let the ends justify the means!
