Our Favorite Photos from Colorado’s 9th Annual ‘Tour de Corgi’
It's become one of the premiere dog events in all of Colorado, after starting out as a "just for fun" neighborhood parade.
Hundreds of Corgis and thousands of humans showed up on a brisk morning, that turned into a very warm fall afternoon, to show off "fluffy butts" and to celebrate the little heart-stealing pooches.
The 9th annual "Tour de Corgi" in Fort Collins happened on Saturday, October 7, 2023, and it could not have been better. Great weather, great dogs, and a great community event.
It is funny how it all started in 2014 when a couple decided to have some fun with their own Corgis and organized what they thought would be a small parade around the neighborhood.

That initial event drew so many participants, that they now joke that they should have made it a "private" Facebook event.
The 2023 Tour de Corgi began around 9:00 a.m. at Civic Center Park in Downtown Fort Collins, with Corgis and their humans: gathering with other Corgis, having some coffee (humans only) getting signed up for the costume contest, and visiting the vendors.
Seeing one Corgi, alone, is enough to make almost anybody's day. When you hold a big festival, with hundreds of Corgis, you'd better hold onto your emotions; it's that much fun.

The costume contest got underway at about 10:00 with eight different categories to compete in. A lot of effort goes into putting those costumes together, but it's worth it to bring smiling faces to the crowd and to the judges.
After the costume contest, the participants began their parade into Old Town, and it's one of the best parades in Colorado.
