UPDATE 7/23: This concert has been canceled as well as the date scheduled at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens.

Here is the hottest bit of news we've learned today.

The Eagles Tribute band, The Boys of Summer, will be playing at Warehouse 2565 on August 1. The news is both good and shocking.

While most Grand Junction concerts this summer have been canceled or postponed, smaller venues like Mesa Theater and Warehouse 2565 have been able to host some concerts. Grand Junction is such a concert-loving community it seems folks here have been starved for musical entertainment.

That being the case, and the Boys of Summer being a popular attraction in Grand Junction, I already know the Warehouse event is going be a hot ticket in town.

It may seem strange to hear this kind of news given the current climate in which we live, but, the fact is, there are a few things we can still enjoy. We just want everyone to enjoy them safely.

If you aren't familiar with the band, the Boys of Summer play the music of the Eagles along with some hits by the iconic Don Henley and Glenn Frey. I've seen the Boys play numerous times and they never disappoint. It's high-energy, top-quality music honoring one of the most popular bands in rock and roll history. The Boys sing and play the songs the way you would hear them on the radio.

While the Boys of Summer hail from southern California, two of the band members, bassist Jerry Schaeffer and drummer Jimmy Williamson reside here in the Grand Valley.

The word on the street is that this show will sell out, and, frankly, I would be shocked if it doesn't sell out very quickly.
