Denver Broncos Likely To Keep Vic Fangio As Head Coach
After a year to remember for all the wrong reasons, the Denver Broncos are planning to give head coach Vic Fangio another shot in 2021.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Broncos will bring back Vic Fangio in 2021 after a fourth-straight losing season. This is the team's second season under Fangio, who signed a 4-year contract with a 5th year option back in January, 2019.

Personally, I keep going back and forth on Coach Fangio. But looking at the big picture, the Broncos, who ended last season with 4 wins in their final 5 games and with some high hopes heading into 2020, had many challenges to overcome, not all of which can be pinned on the team's leadership.
One of their biggest challenges started even before the season began when perennial pass rush pro bowler Von Miller was lost for the season. Unfortunately, he was followed shortly thereafter by the Broncos' top receiver, Courtland Sutton, in week two.
If you throw in the multiple other injuries and setbacks due to COVID, it goes without saying that you have a recipe for a very difficult situation. I believe it's that understanding that's why the Broncos are giving Fangio another shot.
There's also something to be said for being able to create some stability within the organization, especially with all of the drama surrounding the team's ownership with the Bowlen family.
For those arguing AGAINST the keeping of Fangio, there is a pretty solid argument as well, since the long-time NFL assistant has compiled a mere record of 12-19.
Hopefully, the Broncos can end the season on a high note by beating the Raiders back at Empower Field this Sunday and look forward to 2021.
