Cooking Steaks on Lava Is the Hottest Thing Around
Now, this is fast food.
Syracuse University's Earth Sciences Lava Project put together this video of steaks cooked over lava. Yes, lava, the blisteringly hot molten rock that spews out of volcanoes.
When you're cooking over a flame that's around 2,000 degrees, you can bet your meal will heat up pretty darned fast. In fact, the steaks and other meats here go from raw to ready to eat in less time than it takes to grab a bottle of A1.
Short of nuking a bag of microwave popcorn on the sun, this may be the quickest and coolest (well, not coolest) way to prepare food in a jif, but we can't help but think this may be one of those times where the "do not try this at home" tagline is strictly enforced.
