The north and southbound traffic aren't the only streets impacted by the construction on 12th. White and Ouray have limited access and Grand Avenue is closed at the intersection.

The construction zone starts on 12th just south of Belford and continues to Colorado Avenue. The traffic can really stack up during rush hours as traffic is down to just one lane in each direction.  If you're running late to work, it's best to avoid 12th altogether.

It's important to remember too that access to Grand west of 12th is impossible as that interaction is completely closed. Flagman help to move traffic through that intersection. There is a detour set up on 12th that diverts north and southbound traffic a block west to 13th and around the construction zone.

There is heavy equipment on the scene too so it looks like it could be several weeks before the project is completed.

Always remember to slow down through construction zones and keep an eye out for workers. Orange barrels and blinking yellow lights are one thing, a traffic ticket for speeding through a construction zone is another thing entirely. Again, the best bet it to stay off of 12th if you can. Happy motoring!
