What Will Colorado’s New Women’s Soccer Team Be Called?

There's no denying that Coloradans love their local sports teams. Even when they're having a bad season, dedicated fans still root for their beloved Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Avalanche.

Back in January of 2025, it was announced that the next major league sports team to set up shop in Colorado would be a women's soccer club, and the latest team to become part of the National Women's Soccer League is coming to fruition quickly.

However, before the new team can become a Colorado institution, the women's soccer club needs a name.

What Will Colorado's New Women's Soccer Team Be Called?

Beginning today, Coloradans are being encouraged to voice their opinion regarding what the new women's soccer team will be called.

According to the official National Women's Soccer League website, the following suggestions for the new team's name are the following:

• Denver Peak FC
• Colorado 14ers FC
• Colorado Summit FC
• Denver Elevate FC
• Denver FC
• Denver Gold FC

Votes are currently being accepted but the option to make your voice heard regarding the new team's name will only be available between now and Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

There is also an option to write in a name not listed on the official website.

The suggested names were gathered from social media, fans of the National Women's Soccer League currently living in Denver, and via an event put on by the NWSL to celebrate the launch of the new team back on January 30, 2025.
