Whenever we have law enforcement teaming up to accomplish anything, you know it's going to be good. This is why I am excited to tell you about the Grand Junction Police Department and the Mesa County Sheriff's Office working together to help educate Coloradans on the dangers of "puffing" your vehicle.

To be absolutely clear: It is against the law to leave your car running while it's unattended, this is also known as "puffing". It's amazing how many people do this and end up having their vehicle stolen from their own driveway or right out in front of their home.

So to the contest part: All you have to do is submit a selfie while you are "warming up" your vehicle in the morning. You have a chance to win a remote start unit with free installation. If you want to know more about the contest click here.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Limit five (5) entries per household.
    • This contest is open to residential properties only. No businesses, please.
  • Entries must be submitted through a Facebook message to the Grand Junction Police Department or the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
