Colorado Man Starts GoFundMe, Raises Millions For Border Wall
Brian Kolfage, a triple-amputee veteran, and Purple Heart recipient has started a GoFundMe page to raise $1 Billion dollars to build Donald Trump's wall.
"As a veteran who has given so much, 3 limbs, I feel deeply invested to this nation to ensure future generations have everything we have today. Too many Americans have been murdered by illegal aliens and too many illegals are taking advantage of the United States taxpayers with no means of ever contributing to our society."
HIs thought is if each person who voted for the president donated $83 dollars it would bring in around $5 Billion dollars to put towards the wall between the US and Mexico.
The president has said he will allow the government to shut down if the wall isn't funded, so Kolfage has taken it upon himself to make sure it does get built.
As of this writing, he has raised over $4 million dollars (currently over $11-billion as of Dec. 21) and more is coming in by the hour. Kolfage said the money will be held until the legal ramifications are worked out and that if they fail in their bid to raise the funds the money would be returned to the donors.
Kolfage has secured a point of contact in the Trump administration that will help make sure the funds go where they are supposed to.
It is estimated the wall will ultimately cost close to $20 billion dollars to build.
