At 1422 Larimer Street in the heart of downtown Denver sits a historic building that was last occupied by the Green Russell Cocktail Lounge.

The bar has since closed shop but the previous owners of the establishment have not only spoken about the mind-blowing discoveries they made when first opening, but capitalized on it as well.

While doing some renovations on the bar, the owners discovered the tunnels that were used for a number of things, including transporting bootleg liquor during prohibition.

However, the owners ended up getting much more than they'd bargained for as one of the more macabre discoveries they came across was the skeletal remains of horses.

What was once a speakeasy frequented by respected members of society including mayors and high-ranking law enforcement was once again converted into an old-timey reminder of the past.
