Take a Trip Back to What Denver Colorado Looked Like in 1962

A lot has changed in the past 60+ years. Technological advancements have grown to Jetson-like levels and beyond, marijuana is legal in Colorado, and we don't have to worry about things like asbestos or lead paint.

Luckily, there were video cameras back then despite not conveniently being in every person's pocket, and every now and then we get a glimpse of what it was like to live back in simpler times.

What Denver Colorado Was Like in 1962

One of the coolest things about stumbling upon footage like this is seeing all of the old cars. As you'll see below, there was no shortage of now-vintage vehicles lining the streets of downtown Denver.

Another thing that's fun to see is the clothing that people wore back then. Today, it's rare that you'll see a woman wearing a vintage dress on the 16th Street Mall, but it was commonplace back in 1962.

You'll also see the now-dreaded mousetrap that connects I-70 and I-25 which definitely looked less intimidating back then, as well as some familiar places like the Capitol Building, Moore Paints which is one of the few places that appear to be practically untouched, as well as the Walgreens store on the aforementioned 16th Street Mall.
