I'm sure it's me but it appears there is more bicycles in The Grand Valley than any place on earth. This weekend, there'll be more as over 350 college cyclists will descend on Grand Junction for a weekend of riding competition.

The city is hosting the 2017 USA Cycling Collegiate and Para Road National Championships Thursday, April 27 through Sunday, April 30th.

The competition takes place in and around the tiny town of Glade Park, over in Whitewater, and in downtown Grand Junction. All the racing isn't just the traditional two-wheel variety. There are Para cyclists; cycling, hand cycling and tricycle. Blind and visually impaired and traditional collegiate teams; Men’s Club, Women’s Club, Men’s Varsity and Women’s Varsity.

Along with the competition there's an Expo and beer garden in downtown for the final day of racing. There are family and kids activities as well. Plus a kids/family ride. If you're a fan and would like to help, organizers are looking for volunteers. Call  Keil at 970-248-1378. For all the race details just click HERE.
