There's sad news to report as the rock world has lost another talent. Former Cold and Darwin's Waiting Room guitarist Eddie 'The Kydd' Rendini (pictured at far right in the photo above) has passed away. No additional details about his death were given.

The news was reported to Loudwire by Collapsing Lungs / L.U.N.G.S. keyboardist Chris Nicholas. Rendini played with that outfit before gaining more notoriety with both Darwin's Waiting Room and Cold.

"We received very sad news that our brother and guitar player from L.U.N.G.S., Eddie Rendini has passed away. Our thoughts are with his family and all our friends. Way too young to go," stated L.U.N.G.S. on their Facebook page. That band released the mid-'90s disc 'Better Class of Loser.'

As for Darwin's Waiting Room, the rapcore/alt-metal group formed in 1995, issuing three albums and scoring radio airplay with the single 'Feel So Stupid (Table 9).' The band toured with such acts as Godsmack, Nonpoint, Deftones and more. After their split in 2004, Rendini joined Cold on guitar during support of that band's 'Year of the Spider' album, taking over after the exit of Terry Balsamo. But his tenure with Cold was short lived as he did not appear on their next album.

Our condolences to Rendini's family and his former bandmates. Watch a clip of Rendini performing with L.U.N.G.S. at their 2004 reunion show in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., as well as the video for Darwin's Waiting Room's 'Feel So Stupid (Table 9).'
