I don't know about you, but I often watch American Ninja Warrior over a bag of chips on my couch, flabbergasted at the absolute insanity happening on my screen.

The show puts the country's top athletes through a series of seemingly impossible obstacle courses — and this year, a Colorado resident won the competition.

According to American Ninja Warrior Nation, 15-year-old Kaden Lebsack, of Castle Rock, was the "Last Ninja Standing" on Monday (Sept. 13) night's season 13 finale. Although a time out on the rope climb cost him the grand prize of $1 million, he still secured himself $100,000 and the winning title.

"I don't think many people in the world have a drive like Kaden does," Lebsack's father told the publication. "When he finds something he wants, he pushes it really hard until he gets it."

Lebsack told 9News that he started his athletic training after watching American Ninja Warrior on television, noting that he succeeded in the finale thanks to his years of dedication and focus.

"The message that I would give to anyone that wants to compete in Ninja or compete in anything is [to] just keep working hard," he said to the station. "You can accomplish anything you want. Chase your dreams."

Lebsack hopes to return to the show next season. In the meantime, he's looking forward to spending some of his prize money on a trip to Disneyland.

Aside from being the latest champion of American Ninja Warrior, Lebsack is also the co-owner of Bucket of Chalk, a local small business that he started with his friends in Colorado.
