Saturday the USC Trojann lost to Arizona State 62-41, Sunday morning the Trojans fired head coach Lane Kiffin.

Kiffin was 28-15 at USC but that isn’t good enough for a team that thinks of themselves as a national contender. Jack Del Rio is an alumni of USC but here are two reasons why he shouldn’t take the Trojans’ job.

First, the Trojans’ are a mess. Pete Carol hurt that school with his recruiting problems and Lane Kiffin couldn't fix it. So, the Trojans’ have been out recruited by UCLA and they don’t have the type of kids to turn it around this season.

It will take two to three years before Del Rio could turn the program around and that time could be better spent in the National Football League.

Second, The Denver Broncos are rolling, they are 4-0 on the season and right now without Von Miller the defense is doing pretty good. John Fox isn't a young man and if the Broncos win the title this year Fox might step down.

That means that Del Rio would get a fair shot at the head coaching job. He has been head coach in the league and when you look at this team he could step right in and be a head coach again in the top League.

It might look sexy to Del Rio but he should sit tight in the National Football League. The chance to become a head coach in the league is better than tiring to fix the USC Trojans.’
