Tommy Will go for 10 in a Row this Weekend

This weekend is the annual Southwest Arbor Fest in Lincoln Park and I will go for 10 in a row at the chili cook-off. This is one of my favorite events each year mainly because we get to eat chili and drink beer and what could be better than that?

The event will open at Noon and will be fun for the whole family. There is live music, arts and crafts plus you can pick up a free seedling at the Lincoln Park Barn.

There is a craft beer tasting going on from Noon to 4pm and the annual jalapeno-eating contest with the winner scoring $100. Each year this is a great contest and it always comes down to who can stomach the most peppers.

You can also sample some killer salsa and chili all day. I have placed each of the past 9 years and look to make it 10 in a row with a monster pot of chili. I have already started the process and this should be another killer pot.

The kids can enjoy the park and the touch a truck so get everyone together and join us in Lincoln Park for the annual Southwest Arbor Fest from Noon to 5pm this Saturday.
