Earth Day is Sunday, April 22nd. Here are a couple ways you can celebrate.

The holiday may be on Sunday but you can show your appreciation for the 3rd rock from the sun all weekend long.

On Saturday the 21st join your friends and neighbors to kick off the Grand Valley's outdoor festival season with a huge event at Lincoln Park in Grand Junction. It's the 16th annual Southwest Arbor Fest from 12-5 PM. There are free trees and something for everyone. The Festival is free. However, the beer tasting event will cost you $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. There's a Mac & Cheese Cook-Off. Don't miss the arts and crafts booths, live music, great food, and much more!

The Grand Valley Audubon Society is celebrating by doing some actual work. April 21st and 22nd, they'll be working at their property near the Connected Lakes. They'll be planting shrubs and trees, building a bird and pollinator-friendly gardens and removing invasive species. They're needing about 50 volunteers. Happy Earth Day everyone!
