Looking back it really may suck that Denver Broncos head coach John Fox decided to sit Peyton Manning in the second half of the Broncos win over the Oakland Raiders this last Sunday. Manning, who broke the single season record for passing yards, may actually have to give the record back to the books and settle for second place on the list.

Ron Burgundy has been on a monster tour to promote the ‘Anchorman 2” movie and now even Peyton Manning has been given the Burgundy treatment. Burgundy was on SportsCenter and did a little interview with Manning. I will have to say Peyton did pretty well with this knucklehead but I started thinking what is the big push for?

But this week the Uzbekistan native who now lives in Denver decided she wanted to be Peyton Manning. This last weekend, Peyton Manning was back in Indianapolis for a charity for his children's hospital. Also there was country star Luke Bryan who was able to get Peyton Manning to sing a tune on stage. I'm not sure how much country music Peyton listens to, but one things for sure, he chose the right career path...

For the rest of the weekend if you are asked “Who is the Highest Paid QB in the NFL” the answer will be Peyton Manning. Manning makes about $18 million a year, which makes him the highest paid QB in the NFL. Manning is not the highest paid player in the league. That would be Dwight Freeney who makes just over $19 million, until Monday that is.

The NFL is (finally) under way, and in the first part of the weekend we had a pair of really big performances—one by a rookie, and one by a veteran on his way back.
