If you want to hit the trails and get paid for it, this could be the perfect job for you. The Colorado National Monument is hiring trail maintenance workers.

If you can't get enough of the Monument, then maybe you should get paid to be there. The Colorado National Monument is now hiring trail maintenance workers. The position is temporary, from May through October, which is the prime time to hit the trails.

Here's little more about the trail maintenance position:

  • It's a full-time position
  • It pays between $17.43 and $20.30/per hour
  • It provides a uniform
  • Must be at least 16 to apply

According to the job listing:

The primary purpose of this position is to construct and maintain both backcountry and front country trails. The position is primarily engaged in assisting in the maintenance and construction of graded and paved trails, trail drainage, trail bridges, and other maintenance work such as building and utilities type of work.

In a nutshell, you get primetime on the trails and you also get paid for it, sounds like a pretty sweet gig to me.
