It seems like the Grand Junction firefighters were in great spirits while they rescued a dog. They started off their Facebook post by stating that 'sometimes you try to be a good boi, but then you chase a lizard down a cliff and needs the rescue.'

On Sunday around 11 a.m. crews were called to the Ribbon Trail at the Colorado National Monument to rescued a dog whose curiosity got the best of him. The dog spotted a lizard and decided to chase his new friend down a cliff.

The Grand Junction Fire Department used ropes to descend the cliff to get to the 'good boi.' The firefighters then made a 'doggo harness from webbing to get this chonk back to its owners.'

We're glad that the doggo is safe and sound and back with his owners. We love the Grand Junction Fire Department had such a great attitude (and post) about saving this adorable dog. The dog looks like he's saying thank you to the firefighters and appears to have a smile on his face. The GJFD also says to look out for lizards and cliffs.
