Who’s Moving Into Old Pool & Patio Store on North Avenue?

There's a new business coming to North Avenue in Grand Junction? Who's moving in at the old Malibu Pool and Patio store?

Wow, that's two new businesses in two days. Yesterday I mentioned the new bakery moving into the empty building at 27 Road and Highway 50 in Orchard Mesa. Today, a new business is renovating the old Malibu Pool and Patio building at 330 North Avenue.

So, who's moving in? Well, North Avenue, it appears your new neighbors will be Stove Depot and Chimney Works. They will be moving from their present location on Highway 6 & 50. As it stands, they hope to be done with the remodeling and ready to open in roughly six weeks.

I've always been a fan of wood-burning and pellet stoves. Oddly, to date, I've never owned one. That may have to change. According to their webpage, they carry products including:

• Wood fireplaces
• Gas / Propane Fireplaces
• Pellet stoves
