In case you missed the opportunity to watch the live feed, or for that matter, attend in person, here's footage from the 2020 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Cutting Ceremony.

The video was recorded right here on the Western Slope of Colorado. The footage was recorded yesterday, November 5, 2020, in the Uncompahgre National Forest. What you'll see is the cutting of the Englemann Spruce on a live stream on the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Facebook Page. This same forest will provide about 70 smaller trees for displays in offices in the nation's capital.

If you didn't make the ceremony, you'll still have a chance to view the tree in all its glory. The tree will be making a stop at the Grand Junction Convention Center on Wednesday, November 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The tree will be escorted into town by the Patriot Guard Riders and Grand Junction Police. You'll be able to grab some photos and sign the banners on the truck carrying the tree. The event will include speeches and a ceremony to honor veterans, not to mention holiday music, hot cider, and hot chocolate.

The tree will make stops in several communities across Western Colorado including:
