Authorities in Utah report a 17-year-old driver crashed into another car while imitating the "Bird Box Challenge."

According to KKTV 11 News, the teenager drifted into oncoming traffic while covering her eyes with her hat. Layton police Lt. Travis Lyman reports the teen ultimately hit another car. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Lyman adds this event should serve as a warning to others.

I can't help but suspect I'm the only person on the planet who has yet to see Bird Box Challenge. Word on the street is it's not worth watching. A good friend of mine has the hots for Sandra Bullock so bad he can't see straight (pun intended), and even he says the show is lame.

Regardless, videos are popping up right and left showcasing people imitating the show. It's not hard to imagine how this could be highly dangerous. Covering one's eyes while driving would be a perfect example. Even Netflix has gone so far as to send out a warning to people, asking them not to pull stunts like this.

Let's take it easy. Do you recall when people were walking off of cliffs during the Pokemon Go craze? Who needs that?

Popular trends hit all the time, but they don't last. I can remember a time when everyone and their dog owned a Rubick's Cube. You'll notice you don't see them around anymore. The Bird Box Challenge is popular now, but it won't linger forever. There's no need to get hurt, or hurt anyone else. Please use your head, and don't drive blindfolded.
