UFC 168 started as most UFC fights start but this one had one of the most shocking endings of all time. The card featured a co-main event with Miesha Tate taking on Ronda Rousey for the UFC bantamweight title and a rematch between Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva for the middleweight title. No one could have predicted this ending.

The Tate VS Rousey fight was a good bout, as these ladies do not like each other at all. They were the coaches of the Ultimate Fighter show this year and there was more than once I thought they would come to blows. Rousey dominated the fight and in the 3rd round she got Tate in an arm bar submission and retained her UFC title.

The main event was a rematch between Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva for the middleweight title. In their first fight Weidman caught Silva and upset the champion with a surprise knockout. This time most people thought that Silva would take it to Weidman and get his title back.

In the first round Weidman showed he wasn’t going to just lay down and took the fight to Silva winning the round. In the second round Silva threw a kick and Weidman blocked it with his knee, that is when the fight ended. Silva broke his leg just above the ankle, he fell to the mat and this fight was over and maybe his career. Silva is 38 and I’m not sure he will ever come back from this.
