U.S. Capital Christmas Tree Rolls into Junction This Evening
Today's the day! The U.S. Capitol Building Christmas Tree hits Junction tonight!
For more than 50 years, a Christmas tree has graced the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol for the holiday season. The Payette National Forest in partnership with nonprofit Choose Outdoors will bring this special gift from Idaho to Washington, D.C. for the 2016 season, involving more than 25 communities along the way.
The 80ft Engelmann Spruce is the second U.S. Capitol Christmas tree to come from Idaho. It was cut on Nov. 2ed and has made it's way here. Of course, it's final destination is our nation's capital.
Make your plans to join 95 Rock, and Townsquare Media this evening 6-8p, in the Cabela’s Parking Lot at the Mesa Mall. Free photos with Santa, Free horse-drawn carriage rides, games, crafts, entertainment, and more!
